Comfort Zone’s Are For Wimps! I Made My First EVER Video!

Well hello!

I feel like a new woman today! Guess what I did yesterday?! I made my first EVER video! No fancy equipment, just my phone (well to me, that IS fancy!). It took a while to get it right but I did it! You may find the whole ordeal I went through rather amusing though…..

Attempt 1…… I got the baby settled and sat myself down, hubby was upstairs in bed (lucky him!) and the boys were with their Dad, so it was peaceful. I wrote down some bullet points on what I wanted to cover and hit the record button. I got all muddled up with my words and then my son Freddie walked through the door!

Attempt 2… After repeatedly telling Freddie to BE QUIET, while he’s just casually laying on the floor, chopping up a cardboard box with a knife and ripping off bits of sellotape to shreds to make Kahlan a paddling pool….. HUH? I got started and got my words all muddled up again!

Attempt 3…. Perfect! Oh yeah, this is the one! OK, Freddie’s phone started ringing a little way through and then mine too, twice, but I didn’t see it being an issue. I did have a long pause but thought that will just edit out. I didn’t realize I could edit video’s on my phone, how fancy is that?! Anyway, I played it back to edit out that long pause and oh dear! When my phone rang those 2 times, my voice was non existent. Waaah! Had to scrap that one!

Attempt 4…. This is the one, this is it, its going to work! I’m just about to hit the record button and a friend starts walking up the path. Starting to lose all hope here!

Attempt 5… So I stopped for a cuppa and had a chat with my friend, we all deserve a break and tempers were flaring just a little 😉 This time I ignored my notes and just went for it, it turned out really well and I just went for it and got it uploaded! I’m so glad I did it and now I can’t wait to do more! You can watch the video below.

My topic of choice for this one was being added to Facebook groups without permission and why I think it is so detrimental to your business. I had seen so many people over the last few days, either moaning about being added to groups, or the people adding others to groups moaning about being moaned at for it! It is a very bad habit that people really need to get out of! There are much better ways to run a business. If you are walking down the High Street and a shop owner just randomly drags you into their shop, I am sure they would be up for assault or harassment?! So why do it on social media?

Have a watch of my first EVER video and let me know your opinions on this subject in the comments?

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Kirsty
